Perth Better Performing SuburbsPerth’s hottest suburbs of 2004 defied conventional logic, which says areas closest to the CBD or beach tend to do best. For instance, in the year to December 2004 the median house price for inner suburban Perth rose 2.7 per cent while the outer suburbs recorded annual growth of 12.9 per cent. Suburbs to watch include:
These suburbs have median house prices below the metropolitan median and have achieved much greater rates of growth than the high profile western suburbs. Further afield, Mandurah continues its recent stellar performance. Bunbury was another top performer up 37.8 per cent over 2004.
