According to a new survey by PRDnationwide, convenient location close to public transport is the number one priority for home buyers. It seems that 57% of home buyers value proximity to public transport ahead of other property features.
The PRDnationwide survey also found that 16 per cent of property buyers considered that having a supermarket within walking distance as being very important while 12 per cent felt a café or restaurant was most important to have close by.
PRDnationwide research director Aaron Maskrey said only eight per cent of potential home buyers surveyed stated that having a school within close proximity was important.
Home buyers as well as investors are keen to acquire property with lifestyle benefits. Buying a home is about more than just the size of block and number of rooms.
Home buyers are just as keen to purchase in areas that are well accepted by lenders. The amount that you will be able to obtain in the way of a home loan will at least partially depend on the condition, area and title of the property you are buying.
Given the heavy traffic on the roads, purchasers are keen to have easy and reliable access to transport in order to minimize the use of their motor vehicle.
